Thin Conducting Oxide Case Study;

Transparent Conducting Oxide (TCO) coating selection, deposition and characterisation on a complex shaped sapphire substrate has been demonstrated showing reproducible and homogeneous production capability of the TCO coating.

CdTe on SI Case Study;

The combination of state-of-the-art chemical vapour deposition equipment and in-situ monitoring has allowed the accurate and precise deposition of a novel coating; the use of multiple materials characterisation techniques has demonstrated the thickness, integrity and purity of the deposited films.

LBIC Case study;

The Laser Beam Induced Current (LBIC) instrument was able to successfully identify variability in lateral photoresponse by producing spatially resolved images from the novel solar cells supplied. LBIC lends itself well to characterisation of carrier distribution in semiconductors.
